SNUBBED Turkey-based forward Jacob Mulenga continues to exhibit his instinct at goal, scoring his fifth of the season.
And Rodger Kola knocks on Zambia coach Honour Janza’s door following a goal he scored at the weekend to help Ironi Kiryat Shmona to an away win in the Israeli Premier League.
Mulenga, who has been dropped from Saturday’s crucial 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier against Mozambique, netted his club’s equaliser to help Turkish First Division Adana Demirspor to a 2-1 victory over Karsiyaka.
The 30-year-old has been impressive since joining the Turkish outfit from Dutch side FC Utrecht.
Kola’s side came from a goal down to win 3-1, the Zambian scoring the second in the 35th minute after Fernandes Kassio had cancelled Shahar Hirsh’s opener for Hapoel Petah Tikva.
Hasan Abu Zaid turned the ball in his own net on 56 minutes to make it 3-1 before Kola was rested for Dor Jan 22 minutes before time.
A 10-man Hapoel Ra’anana, who lined up Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa, suffered a 1-0 home loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Kola has three goals in his account at par with Kangwa.
In Armenia, Lubambo Musonda was shown a red card in league leaders Ulisses Yerevan’s 3-0 thrashing to Mika FC in a match both sides had a man sent off.
