Investor confidence soars

ZAMBIA’S improved business environment has brought investor confidence, resulting in increased liquidity in the second quarter of this year.
A latest Business Confidence Index (BCI) by the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) shows noticeable increase to 168.5 point, representing over 40 points gain.
Bank of Zambia (BoZ) statistics show that market liquidity, the degree to which an asset or security can be quickly bought or sold in the market without affecting the asset’s price, rose to K1.1 billion from K800 million.
“BCI has substantially increased by 44.2 points to 168.5 points in the second quarter from 124.3 points in the first quarter. The results are according to the survey conducted in 200 member firms
