Invest in skills, mines told

LUNGU

NKOMBO KACHEMBA, Kitwe
PRESIDENT Lungu says there is need to invest in skills training in the mining sector to reduce over-dependency on expatriate labour which is costly to most mining houses.
Mr Lungu said sufficient skilled labour is also important to enhancing productivity and efficiency in the mining industry for the economic growth of the nation.
He said lack of skilled labour in various sectors of the economy is costly to the nation because many companies incur huge costs in outsourcing labour outside the country, which greatly affects their profitability and contribute less to the national treasury.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
