WHILE we appreciate that every individual is born with a different talent, it is important that education be taken seriously.
Sportsmen and women should not be left behind. Our sports personalities should invest in education as they develop their talents.
We don’t want sports people to languish after retirement or injury, hence the need to prepare them to a fall-back on their other careers.
We need players to study courses at either college or university levels which they can use after hanging up their boots.
At the moment, we have Brian Chewe, Chipulu Chileya and Donashano Malama who have the necessary papers to get jobs apart from playing football.
