INFRASTRUCTURE development will facilitate smooth trade among African countries and strengthen regional integration, Zimbabwe’s secretary for finance and economic development Willard Manungo has said.

Mr Manungo was speaking yesterday when he officially opened an ad-hoc expert group meeting on deepening regional integration in Southern Africa.

He cited the dualisation of the Beit Bridge-Harare-Chirundu road as one of the projects that will improve the efficiency of the North-South corridor, and reduce the cost of transporting goods and services within the Southern African region.
