Lawyers get counsel

CHOMBA MUSIKA
Lusaka
GOVERNMENT will not condone a laissez-faire attitude from lawyers employed under the Attorney General’s Chambers as they are expected to work hard to efficiently contribute to the delivery of justice.
Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha has also reminded lawyers that their profession is not all about ‘chasing after money’ but career.
He wants lawyers under the Ministry of Justice to be effective to help facilitate socio-economic growth.
Mr Kabesha was speaking yesterday during an induction workshop for 28 newly-recruited lawyers in the Ministry of Justice.
“We believe in efficiency, don’t come here thinking it’s a place where you are going to rest.
There is too much work, but in that too much work, it’s good for your career,” he said.
Mr Kabesha expects lawyers who will be working in his chambers to be hard-working to avert case backlog…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
