INDUSTRIAL Development Corporation Limited (IDC) chief executive officer Cornwell Muleya says all government institutions and agencies should be compliant with the directive to use Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (ZAMCARGO) for all freight and logistic services.
In 2016, Government issued a circular to public institutions as they make up the largest buyers of goods and services to use ZAMCARGO for procurement services.
Mr Muleya said Government also directed that preferential procurement should be extended to services provided by strategic institutions such as government-owned dry ports.
He said this during an engagement with various representatives of IDC subsidiaries in the sector in Lusaka on Friday.
This was in a speech read for him by ICD chief portfolio officer Siakakaye Siameja.
“My role is to re-emphasise the importance of this government directive to all of you present here to use ZAMCARGO for all your freight and logistics services in order to be compliant with the government directive,” he said….https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
