EU-funded project trains energy auditors

CLOSE to 70 certified energy auditors have been trained in energy efficiency strategies under the Increased Access to Electricity and Renewable Energy Production (IAEREP) project supported by the European Union (EU).
This is according to a statement issued by EU through its press office in Namibia.
The training of the certified energy auditors took place at Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre and was organised by the Ministry of Energy through the IAEREP programme.
According to EU, companies that invest in energy efficiency save money and insulate themselves against power outages.
An energy auditor can help management decide where to implement energy savings for a maximum return on investment.
