Investments hit $40bn

DESPITE some micro-economic indicators such as the exchange rate faltering and inflation registering a slight increase, Zambia is closing the year on a high note in as far as investments are concerned, with investment commitments hitting US$39.95 billion.Committed investments are deals that have been signed, and in some cases, licences issued.
According to Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), the figure represents an increase of 465 percent when compared to last year’s US$8.61 billion.
