Indeni trounce KPF, Flight

MULWANDA LUPIYA, Ndola
HOSTS Indeni yesterday started their hunt for the Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) national championship title with two wins at Indeni Sports Complex in Ndola.

The tournament, which is a qualifier for the Zone Six Club Championship, has attracted five teams from Lusaka, Kitwe and Ndola.
Other teams that are competing in the tournament are Kitwe Playing Field (KPF), Flight, Green Eagles and Nkwazi.
Indeni battered KPF 25/19, 25/16, 25/20 in the first match before trouncing Flight of Kitwe 3-0 25/20, 25/8, 25/12 in a lopsided encounter.
In other matches, Nkwazi overcame Flight 3-2 but suffered a setback after going down 3-1 to Eagles.
Eagles, however, bounced back with a 3-0 victory over KPF.
The games are being played on a round robin basis.
By press time Eagles were in action so were Indeni and Nkwazi.
The winner of the male category will pocket K10,000.
The ladies category has attracted four teams Super Select from Lusaka, Kamwala Magic, Rock Stars, Flight and Kasama.
