‘Indecent avengers’ re-arrested

THE five women who allegedly indecently assaulted another woman on suspicion that she was flirting with a married man risk prison sentences of up to 14 years after the Ndola Magistrate’s Court discharged them of assault and police re-arrested them to face fresh charges.
Police have slapped the five women with two fresh charges of abduction and indecent assault.
Indecent assault and abduction with a view to slavery carries a sentence of 14 and seven years, respectively.
When the matter came up yesterday, Ndola principal resident magistrate Obbister Musukwa discharged Bridget Chisha, 21, Precious Kapambwe, 25, Margaret Mwansa, 25, Catherine Banda, 29, and Maureen Mutale, 29.
