POLICE in Kalulushi yesterday fired teargas canisters to disperse Luwombe township residents who became unruly after word went round that a 47-year-old man of the same area was keeping a snake, tortoise and ilomba.
Officers had to quickly rescue the victim, identified as Geoffrey Nsama, and took him to Kalulushi Police Station for safety.
Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga said in an interview that the incident happened at 09:40 hours.
Mrs Katanga said Mr Nsama’s wife, Mary Milanzi, is believed to have been spreading falsehoods that her husband is a wizard after she joined a pentecostal church.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
