PARAMOUNT Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni in Eastern Province has urged Government to ignore critics of development.
Chief Mpezeni said the Patriotic Front (PF) administration has already worked and the development is clear for all to see.
“Some people are anot happy with the development being undertaken by the PF.  But ignore them. Put ear plugs in your ears,” Chief Mpezeni said.
The traditional leader said this here yesterday when Road Development Agency (RDA) board vice-chairperson Phidelia Mwaba and her delegation paid a courtesy call on him before embarking on a tour of the 105kms Chipata-Vubwi-Chadiza road which is under construction.
The 120km road project includes rehabilitation of a 5km stretch to the chief’s palace, 3kms to Mwami Hospital and 8kms of township roads.  The cost is K605 million.
Paramount Chief Mpezeni some people are not happy with the current leadership out of sheer jealousy because they themselves want to be there as leaders.
“Some people want bad leaders,  but ignore them,” he said.
