THE Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has secured land in four provinces where 400 megawatts of the phase two solar power projects will be established at an estimated cost of US$300 million.

Twelve international companies have been shortlisted after submission of the bids to develop the solar energy plants.
In an interview on Wednesday, IDC group chief executive officer Mateyo Kaluba said the attraction of reputable global energy companies into the country’s solar projects is a demonstration of the confidence that international investors have in the Zambian economy.
