Hundreds mourn councillor

HUNDREDS of mourners on Saturday paid their last respects to Patriotic Front (PF) Mukuba Ward councillor Clement Kangwa, who died in Kitwe on Tuesday at the age of 31.
Nkana parliamentarian Alexander Chiteme, his Kamfinsa counterpart Elario Musonda, senior government officials, and councillors were among the mourners.
Mr Kangwa was buried at Nkana East cemetery in Kitwe. PF Copperbelt Province chairperson Stephen Kainga described Mr Kangwa as a courageous young man who did not shy away from participating in politics.
And Copperbelt deputy permanent secretary Elias Kamanga said Government and President Lungu are saddened by Mr Kangwa’s death.
Mr Kangwa collapsed a day before the August 11 elections, which he won, and developed a partial stroke that confined him to a wheelchair until his death. MWILA NTAMBI
