Hospital in medicine cancer

MINISTER of Health Jonas Chanda

NANCY SIAME

THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency has not supplied medicine to the Cancer Diseases Hospital (CDH) for the last three years, a situation which has forced the institution to use its monthly grant of K1 million to procure drugs for patients.
CDH senior medical superintendent Lewis Banda said K1 million is not sufficient to procure drugs and most patients are put on the waiting list, while those capable of buying their own do so.
He said this yesterday when Minister of Health Jonas Chanda toured CDC to appreciate challenges the hospital is facing. CLICK
