Youthful Living with PASTOR MOYO M
FAITH is made evident in the way you hold on to what you hope for in the face of adversity.
Life is full of adversities and these can make giving up on faith seem inevitable.
Life is complicated and full of stress such that hope may not be easy to come by or be fulfilled.
We all desire to be secure and to possession the best in life.
In an effort to secure marriage, education or many other necessities, we may encounter adversities that bring about a sense of insecurity and uncertainty concerning our future.
But the question is: “Do we still hold on to what we hope for when we have difficulties, in a time of adversity”?
Well, true faith will only be seen or made evident when we still hold on to our hope even in difficult times; when we still hold on to what we hope for in the face of adversity.
In Luke 18, Jesus taught a parable of the persistent widow who pestered an unjust king for justice against her adversary.
Though the king was adamant, her perseverance paid off as she was granted the desired justice.
The challenge did not kill her hope that things will work out. Some people easily lose hope and give up after few attempts.
Adversity is common in life but when it comes, we should not give up, we should not stop hoping but hold on to hope.
True faith is evident in a person’s life simply by holding on to their hope even in a time when it does not make sense and there seems to be no way out.
Do not give up on hope for “the just shall live by faith”. Your faith is made evident through what you hope for. Keep holding on to what you hope for in times of difficulty. That is true faith.
