HIV/AIDS fight: Ball dropped

Analysis: BENEDICT TEMBO
FOLLOWING the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, attention has shifted to the same.
Over a thousand people have died from the virus since the outbreak began late last year.
New cases of infections, which emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan, are being reported daily around the world, with hundreds of cases of the virus being reported in about 25 countries in the Asia-Pacific region as well as Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Yet, much as Zambians may be anxious at the same time about the coronavirus, we still have HIV in our midst.
Zambia has an estimated 1,200,000 people living with HIV.
Of these, 1,080,000 are on antiretroviral therapy (ART). ART is the use of HIV medicines to treat HIV infection.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
