Hippo culling exercise suspended

ALVIN CHIINGA, Lusaka
THE Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) has suspended the hippo-culling exercise, which started last month in the Luangwa Valley.
DNPW public relations officer Sakabilo Kalembwe said in a statement yesterday that the suspension of the hippo-culling exercise has been necessitated by events that have come with the culling activity.
“In the meantime, the department will evaluate the matter and provide a way forward,” Mr Kalembwe said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
