Zambia on course to economic boom

HONE SIAME, Kasenengwa
PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says Zambia is poised to become an economic giant in Africa because of the projected increase in investment in rural areas upon completion of the ongoing installation of 1,009 communication towers countrywide.
Government is installing 1,009 towers under phase two of the programme aimed at stimulating economic diversification and job creation.
President Lungu said improved telecommunication will motivate investors to set up businesses in rural areas which will culminate in sustained economic development.
The head of State said an effective communication system is key to national development.
