HH first one year lauded

WITH a week to go for a year to elapse after Zambians last went to the general election, some stakeholders say there is visible positive change spearheaded by the UPND administration. Zambia held its general election on August 12, 2021 which saw President Hakainde Hichilema win with a landslide. Mr Hichilema garnered 2,810,757 votes against 1,814,201 for former President Edgar Lungu. In his first address to the nation before his inauguration, President Hichilema pledged to foster a better democracy, rule of law, restoring order, and respecting human rights, liberties and freedoms.
