I WRITE to salute University Teaching Hospital (UTH) management and staff, especially the team of doctors and surgeons, for conducting a successful seven-hour operation on the Siamese twins.
If my memory serves me right, this is not the first or second operation to separate such Siamese twins. Hats off to Professor Tackson Lambert, who has been at the centre of such operations.
I can only wish the twins a healthy life, and may the Ministry of Community Development and other well-wishers take keen interest to help the young mother since she has been in the hospital ever since the twins were admitted.
It is not as easy as it seems. Only those who have been admitted to any hospital will attest to the hardship of nursing patients for such a long time. God bless our doctors.
