HarvestPlus gets $5.2 million grant

THE United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) has offered HarvestPlus a US$5.2 million grant to help increase private sector involvement in the delivery of biofortified crops in Africa and South Asia.

HarvestPlus, a global leader in the development and distribution of biofortified crops, is this year committed to scaling up efforts in nutrition delivery using biofortified staple foods to combat malnutrition in Africa, including Zambia.
