Green industrialisation hope for Africa

THE green industrialisation will position Africa on the cutting edge of science and technological innovation that may change the fortune and position of the continent in the global economy, a development expert has said.
And Ministry of National Planning and Development permanent secretary Auxillia Ponga says Africa, as a latecomer to industrialisation, has a big opportunity to adopt alternative economic development-led pathways that should embrace green technologies.
During the launch of the 2016 Economic Report on Africa titled ‘Greening Africa’s Industrialisation’, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa regional director Said Adejumobi said green industrialisation will later become good economics in the long run since it will be cheaper, more efficient and productivity enhancing.READ MORE
