PROVIDE bursaries to strengthen re-entry policy.
I appeal to Government to ensure that the re-entry policy is further strengthened by providing bursaries for girls who return to school.
This will enable the country to tackle the problem of early marriages and reduce poverty levels.
The re-entry policy is one of the successful policies in women empowerment that has worked well for find themselves in a predicament after failing pregnant.
It accords girls an opportunity to complete their education and help reduce poverty among women for the benefit of the nation.
I, therefore, appeal to the Ministry of Education to disregard the calls to revise the re-entry policy as doing so would be detrimental not only to the girls child ‘s education but also to the development of the nation.
Lastly, let us be reminded that some girls fall pregnant due to sexual abuse and instead of condemning them, let us mobilise parents so that they understand their role in the re-entry policy.
