GOVERNEMENT will ensure that farmers who have gone into soya beans production are protected from exploitation by private firms, Central Province Minister Credo Nanjuwa has said.
Mr Nanjuwa said Government is committed to ensuring that soya beans is bought at the right price to enable farmers to receive value for their products.
The minister said this during the commissioning of Mukalashi Rural Health Post in Keembe constituency.
“I am aware of the plight of the farmers as many of them opted to go into soya beans production, as many farmers are not progressing because they spend so much to produce crops and do not get the value of their effort back.
“However, the President stated during his press conference that Government would not let private buyers of soya beans exploit farmers,” he said.https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
