Government probes CBU workers’ protest

LUO

NKOMBO KACHEMBA, Kitwe
MINISTER of Higher Education Nkandu Luo has condemned a protest by unionised workers at the Copperbelt University (CBU) and has ordered a probe into the matter.

On Wednesday, unionised workers at CBU locked up their vice-chancellor Naison Ngoma in his office, asking him to resign, and they deflated tyres of his motor vehicle.
The workers claim Professor Ngoma is mismanaging the institution and that he is not qualified to hold the position of vice-chancellor, an allegation he has dismissed.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
