GOVERNMENT has increased the number of beneficiaries on the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) for the 2016/2017 farming season in North-Western Province.Provincial senior marketing development officer Dennis Munachusa said in an interview yesterday that Government has increased the number of beneficiaries from 62,402 in the 2015/2016 season to 80,104 for the coming farming season.
“Under the FISP programme, we have increased the number of beneficiaries, and out of that number, 62,402 will get maize packs, 4,876 will be given orange maize, 2,000 rice, 6,985 will get groundnuts seed and 921 common beans,” Mr Munachusa said.READ MORE
