Government eager to resolve e-voucher challenges

KELLLY NJOMBO, Lusaka
GOVERNMENT will develop initiatives to identify and respond to challenges experienced in the previous farming season to improve productivity through an efficient electronic e-voucher system.Minister of Agriculture Michael Katambo said like any new system, the e-voucher was plagued with numerous challenges which if not addressed could in future result in the decline of the contribution to national food production by farmers under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP).
Mr Katambo said this in Lusaka yesterday in a speech read on his behalf by Ministry of Agriculture chief economist Anayawa Mutemwa during a media launch of the research findings of the implementation of the e-voucher in the 2017/18 farming season by the Policy Monitoring and Research Centre (PMRC).http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
