Government adopts Kaizen for social, economic improvement

SECRETARY to the Cabinet Roland Msiska says Government has now adopted the Japanese Kaizen principle of continuous improvement as a tool for social and economic transformation aimed at eliminating waste of resources and improving productivity.
And acting Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Shuichi Sakakibara says Zambia can achieve industrial growth and economic diversification if there is continued commitment from Government, the Kaizen Institute of Zambia (KIZ) and the Japanese Technical Support.
Speaking during the 2016 national Kaizen conference themed ‘transforming Zambia to business excellence’ in Lusaka yesterday, Dr Msiska said there is need for a clear methodology guided by tools and concepts that help to improve the way Government departments and businesses carry out daily operations.READ MORE
