EDUCATION Outreach for Children with Disabilities (EdOCD) says the provision of good education is key to achieving personal independence.
EdOCD co-ordinator Chiyeso Katete said this recently when his organisation donated an assortment of books and foodstuff worth K10,000 to Magwero School for the Deaf in Chipata.
“We want to enhance the acquisition of knowledge and contribute to a balanced diet among children. Good education is key to achieving personal independence; which will help to uplift and protect children with disabilities,” she said.
Ms Katete urged the public to promote the rights of children with disabilities, especially the right to education.
