Golden Vocals look for connection

GOLDEN Vocals.

THE Golden Vocals Choir is today launching its fourth album titled Connect, which as the title suggests, is meant to link people with Jesus Christ.Bright Sinkozi, who is a member of the Golden Vocals, told the Weekend Mail in Lusaka that the 12-track album has songs that be believes will draw people closer to Christ.
“[The album] is dubbed ‘Connect’, for one simple reason; we exist to introduce Christ to people and in essence, we’re the link between people and God through music,” Sinkozi said.
“Our album has 12 well selected songs that cut across borders. We tried to have as many languages to make sure we reach [out] to different people.”
He describes the album as unique because all the instrumented songs were played by a live band.
“We tried to move away from digital instruments to give the album that special touch we have not done in the previous three namely; the famous ‘Ngululu’ released eight years ago, ‘This Promise’ and ‘This Hope’,” Sinkozi said.
He has urged gospel music lovers and anyone yearning to draw closer to Christ to turn-up in numbers for the album launch to be held at Government Complex from 17:30 hours to 21:00 hours.
Firm Faith, a singing group from Zimbabwe and a surprise guest singer are scheduled to perform at the event.
“We shall have a live band backing us and that is one special ingredient to look forward to. And all our instrumented songs were played by a live band,” Sinkozi said.
Ticket sales are pegged at K80 (pre-sale from Shoprite computicket) and K100 on the actual day.
