IN 1972, then President Kenneth Kaunda decided to send a goodwill mission to selected countries in North America, Europe and the Far East.
The mission was expected to sensitise cooperating partners in developed countries on the detail of the Second National Development Plan as a framework of priority areas for public and private investment.
