THE Food Reserve Agency (FRA) says it will on Tuesday begin buying 1,000,000 metric tonnes of maize and 2,000 metric tonnes of paddy rice.
FRA board chairperson Joe Simachela said in a statement yesterday the price of maize is K85 for a 50kg bag of maize and K60 for a 40kg bag of rice.
Mr Simachela said FRA will pay the farmers 14 days after delivery.READ MORE
