Food security gets boost

ZAMBIA’S food production will be significantly boosted through a 32 percent increase of wheat, soya beans and maize cultivation by the Zambia National Service (ZNS) in the 2017/2018 farming season.

Minister of Defence Davies Chama has said the ZNS will grow the wheat, soya beans and maize on 4,000 hectares of land.
Mr Chama said maize will be grown on 2,460 hectares while wheat and soya beans will be grown on 960 and 590 hectares, respectively.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
