HIVOS, a Dutch development-based organisation, has called on key stakeholders to partner with Government to achieve the diversification agenda to enhance food and nutrition security in the country.
Recently, there has been talk about how Zambia’s agriculture sector is primed to become the new economic engine for the country.
Hivos Southern Africa regional advocacy manager for sustainable diets William Chilufya said Government alone cannot implement the diversification agenda, hence the need to engage other stakeholders.
Mr Chilufya said in an interview on Tuesday that Hivos commends Government for the effective roll-out of the electronic voucher systems across the country to enhance diversification and crop production.
