Flying Doctors find TB most prevalent in Kalumbila

BUTTYSON KANDIMBA, Solwezi

OVER 200 patients in Kalumbila, North-Western Province, received specialist health care services from a specialised team of doctors from Zambia Flying Doctors Service (ZFDS), who found tuberculosis and malaria to be the most prominent diseases.
This was during a five-day outreach programme conducted in the district last week which saw the team visiting five health facilities. ZFDS Kalumbila team leader Bridget Zulu said during disease screening, suspected cases of tuberculosis and malaria were the most prominent in the mining district.
