Finnish envoy talks market linkages

FINNISH Ambassador to Zambia Timo Olkkonen has said there is need to develop strong market linkages to enhance productivity of potential cash crops as the country makes strides in diversifying agriculture from maize.
To make the agriculture sector more sustainable, Zambia has embarked on a diversification agenda to promote cash crops such as cotton, cassava, soya beans, tobacco, groundnuts and potatoes, among others.
