FAZ wants league change

THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is considering three options for the 2019 Super Division season, among them a compressed league format that will run from January to May.
FAZ general secretary Adrian Kashala said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that the options are part of the measures to conform to the Confederation of African Football (CAF)’s new format for inter-club competitions.
Kashala explained that the first option is to run a short league that will start from January and end in May in a bid to have the 2019/2020 season in tandem with CAF regulations.
“That is the first option we are considering. In this format, we will need to compress the league and have all the 38 games played from January to May,” he said.
