ZAMBIAN striker Fashion Sakala at the weekend scored the fourth goal of the season guiding Spartak 2 Moscow to a 3-0 win over FK Fakel Voronezh in a Russian league match.
Sakala said in an interview from Moscow that his tiptop form is down to God’s grace.
“God is the key of my success and I am always on my knees to God praying every day and I am always working hard during training sessions. I also like individual training and it has helped me a lot.
“I have scored four league goals this season and three goals in pre-season friendlies, so altogether seven. So far, I have no target with particular number of goals I want to score this season but I just want to keep working hard,” he said.
Sakala’s former Zanaco team-mate Saith Sakala’s debut in Saudi Arabia ended in defeat after his new side, Al Fateh Sports Club, suffered a 4-1 loss to Al-Taawoun in a league match.
Forward Patson Daka was also on the scoresheet after bagging a brace to help his side Liefering to a 2-all draw with TSV Hartberg in the Austrian second tier. Striker Winston Kalengo scored for Congo-Brazzaville side AC Leopards in the 2-all draw with Cara Brazzaville in a cup final.
Leopards went on to win 4-2 on penalties.
