ZAMBIA’S external debt that stands at US$7.2 billion and domestic debt of K10 billion can be reduced if we increase exports.

We need to support the Government’s efforts of industrialisation and agricultural production in order to gain more foreign exchange.
It is also good to see Government’s commitment in controlling over-borrowing through the bill to be presented in Parliament by Minister of Finance Felix Mutati.
Once the debt is reduced, poverty levels will decrease as more resources will be channelled to poverty reduction areas.
