RECENTLY, Zambia National Service commandant Nathan Mulenga proposed to a gathering in Lusaka that examination cheating be classified under capital offences.
It is a pity that three months down the line, the face of exam leakages has yet again reared its ugly head in the school system.
This is extremely embarrassing because to be fore-warned is to be fore-armed.
It is clear Lieutenant-General Mulenga’s counsel has fallen on deaf ears and the consequence is the cancellation of the exam.
We have tolerated mediocrity for a long time and the earlier we deal with some of such societal vices, the better for our great nation.
Zambia must arise against leakages – once and for all.
