OVER 50,000 farmers have embarked on a programme to plant 26 million agro-forestry seedlings to restore soil nutrients and enhance crop yields in Eastern Province.
Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO) says the initiative, which is being spearheaded by traditional leaders and cooperatives, will see farmers plant the gliricidia sepium seedlings to help conserve the soil and reduce pressure on forests.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
