IT IS 14:30 hours on a cold Tuesday afternoon. But Kaunda Square Stage Two market is a hive of activity. Deafening music is playing from the various speakers placed outside the small bars on a stretch popularly known as Third World.
The bars are already crowded as the patrons who appear drunk chat in small groups. Others are huddled in corners. A popular alcoholic drink known as junta to the beverage that brings the men at the common spots.
Unfortunately, the highly potent bottled alcoholic drink is said to be destroying the lives of the men in Kaunda Square most of whom have continued losing their lives due to alcohol-related diseases.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
