JANNY Sikazwe on Monday made history by becoming the first Zambian referee to be selected to officiate at the World Cup and the 38-year-old has described the gesture as a dream come true.
Sikazwe, who is the only whistleman from southern Africa, is among 36 referees that FIFA has appointed to officiate at the 2018 Russia World Cup.
The list has six Africans.
The others are Mehdi Abid Charef (Algeria), Malang Diedhiou (Senegal), Bakary Papa Gassama (Gambia), Ghead Grisha (Egypt) and Weyesa Bamlak Tessema (Ethiopia).http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
