Dora to quit if…

MONICA KAYOMBO and STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
CHIEF Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya will resign if United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema’s claims that two public institutions have been sold are true.
She has given Mr Hichilema seven days in which to prove his claims that the Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) and Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) have been sold to the Chinese, failure to which he too should resign as UPND leader.
Ms Siliya, who is Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, told a media briefing yesterday that the law will visit Mr Hichilema if he fails to substantiate his claims.
“Out of frustration, the opposition has schemed to fabricate lies that will not only annoy citizens but also drive fear in them and cause them to rise against Government,’’ she said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
