THE digital finance agenda needs to be supported by various stakeholders to help create opportunities for economic empowerment of the public, Zoona Zambia has said.
Yesterday, Zoona joined Mobile Money for the Poor Programme of the United Nations Capital Development Fund (MM4P-UNCDF) panel at the European Development Days (EDD) to debate the ability of digital finance to empower employees, women clients and agents.
Zoona Zambia chief marketing officer Lelemba Phiri said supporting digital finance has enabled the company to contribution to more people to starting using the service.
“It is impossible to address African economic empowerment without addressing women’s economic empowerment – We can’t develop the continent if we are excluding half of the population.
