FOLLOWING the revelation of match fixing involving some former Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) official, it is imperative to review some of the games Chipolopolo has lost in the past.
For instance, the Chipolopolo played badly at the Africa Cup tournament in 2008 in Ghana. One game which needs investigating is the 5-1 loss to Cameroon.
This may open the Pandora’s box to the several games which were fixed for the benefit of few greedy individuals, including the back-to-back failure by Chipolopolo to make it to the 2019 Africa Cup.
While others may be blaming FAZ president Andrew Kamanga for the poor run, there could be individuals out there who have been making a fortune out of the country’s nightmare.
Time to act is now.
