NANCY SIAME, Lusaka
FINLAND has committed €30.4 million to support Zambia’s social protection, private sector development, governance, and environment and forestry from 2016 to 2019.
This follows the conclusion of three-day consultation meetings between the governments of Zambia and Finland.
Speaking during the signing of minutes of the meetings at the Ministry of Finance yesterday, Accountant General Chellah Sichembe said the development is a clear testimony and re-affirmation of the cordial relations that exist between Zambia and Finland.
“We are grateful that beyond development co-operation, Finland will put at Zambia’s disposal other financial institutions whose financing instruments can be accessed by Zambian companies and small to medium-scale enterprises through business co-operation with Finnish enterprises,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
