AFRICAN countries must declare the energy crisis an emergency, says United Nations (UN) economic agency chief.
Speaking at a public discussion on the power crisis on Thursday at Hotel InterContinental Lusaka, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) director for southern Africa, Said Adejumubi, also said African leaders must be more ambitious in seeking a lasting solution to the energy crisis facing their countries.
